Hamas's propaganda victory

Hamas have correctly predicted that the Western media would fall for their charms. Following Alan Johnston's release, Hamas are now perceived as the goodies (the Israelis of course being the baddies). The images of Hamas throwing their opponents off buildings are now a distant memory.

But as Gerard Baker says, releasing Alan Johnston was no good deed.
